We have been in the industry for over 20 years and through-out this time our mould removal treatment has proven to be extremely effective by producing successful results every time. At South QLD Restoration our team are qualified in mould removal and have experience in dealing with some of the most challenging mould cases.
We have two main mould removal services: one-off prevention project and regularly scheduled visits to effectively maintain your property. Below is a step-by-step guide on how our process works.
- Pre-inspection and Moisture Mapping
The first step taken once we get to your property is to assess the mould damage. If the mould growth is minimal, our team will conduct a simple clean, sanitisation treatment and application of mould prevention. However, for more serious cases, our team completes a digital mould inspection and moisture test throughout the interior of the property.
Once on-site, our team will search for visible mould growth and if it’s detected we take the necessary precautions by containing the area before commencing further treatment.
- Assessment and Recommendations
Our team will provide test results, a final price and timeline for the complete remedy of mould. We will discuss the actions that need to be taken to not only eliminate mould from your property but also avoid future growth.
- Scope of Works
A comprehensive scope of works is provided so that you can submit it to your insurance company. We also supply you with written reports and certification. At South QLD Restoration we aim to make the entire process as easy as possible for you.
- Further Containment and Negative Air Control
The next step in our mould removal process is to install negative air control which prevents the affected area to escape to other areas of your property.
- Remediation Works
Our qualified technicians then complete all remediation works according to the IICRC S520 International Standards for mould removal.
- Structural Drying and Air Filtration
To ensure all mould spores are removed and remain removed, our team conducts structural drying and treatment of structural building materials.
- Final Clean
To finish off the process, our team carries out a thorough clean of the affected area. To guarantee the efforts of our removal work, we conduct bacteria swabs to clarify that your property is mould free.
- Final Report
A final report is provided to you for your records.
